What is knowledge? Why is it necessary in our lives? Why do we seek it? How do we accumulate it? What is VNCIA LLC doing that could help me in my quest for knowledge? etc.
These are the questions that may come to mind when you read our mission statement . We will discuss these questions and some more topics in this blog. Our definition may not be the same as dictionary, but it is to the best of our knowledge and beliefs about what the topic is about. It may be wrong or right, and we encourage any comments or feedback to help us sharping our understanding. Knowledge is the metal process of a person, upon the perception of an interest or topic, invoking his mental memory of his past exposure to the similar interest or topic. When there is a similarity between the current perceptions and past exposure, the person then use the past exposure to explain or to take mental or physical actions in the current situation. We can think of our memory is like a library of past exposure to interests or topics, either voluntarily or mandatory exposure. The purpose of the general education (K-12 or K-14) is to mandatory the basic exposure for the students in preparation for their future role within the society, as a leader first of his or her own life, then the household, the city, the State, and the World. The parents and the K-12 teachers were the main motivator or enforcer of the mandatory learning experience of the youth. However, during this mandatory exposure to experiences, the students would both mature with age and the amount of accumulated mandatory knowledge. Those knowledge are reflected via their changing views of the world, which are expressed via their test results, essays, and other mandatory assessments. However, the beginning of their post-mandatory learning period also requires the students to select a path for further self development as well as the need to focus on the pragmatic purpose of later to be self-sustainable and the different level of the Maslow's Hierachy of Need via employment of self-employment. The learning after the mandatory would ultimately shape their view of themselves and of the world. The mandatory knowledge is what used to create uniformity for the society, but the realization of individuality is the selection of the post-mandatory learning. Our world and society is a results of a lot of work and developments of human knowledge. We learn via both mandatory and post-mandatory experiences. VNCIA LLC with its current operation to help strengthen the students' math and sciences knowledge, which is in the K-14 mandatory learning. However, as we realize the capability of our human intellectual, we would use the tutoring experience as a channel to not only cover the mandatory knowledge, but we also play a role of a mentors who has advanced through the K-14 and post mandatory learning to expose the student to relevant current knowledge so that our students are not only perform on-par with their cohorts but also have the strong foundation for the future learning of math and sciences, regardless if they would follow a liberal arts or scientific careers. The Coronavirus (COVID-19) has created an unprecedented reactions that affect many lives and how we interact. We heard the news of cancelled meeting, events, and in-person interactions. Without the ability to meet in-person, our knowledge sharing would be reduced significantly. As we have tutored most of our students online, our students would still received the tutoring appointment as normal.
We will focus on delivering a better online tutoring experience so we could serve more students across America.
